If your skin does not require full coverage makeup, I would highly suggest looking into tinted moisturizers. They give you some color without the weight of foundation. Recently, I tried Iman’s foundation but it made my face look cakey after a while. Who wants to look made up?

P.S. Not sure what the big hype is about Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 but it’s too rich for my blood. And the gay guy at Sephora said it’s not that great.

Here are three tinted moisturizers I’ve tried and really like:

1. E.L.F.’s Studio Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20. It’s the cheapest and I love to use it during the week at work.

2. MAC’s Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15. I forgot I had a sample of this. Very sheer and doesn’t leave my face oily.

3. Smashbox’s Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15. Also sheer but it gives a little more coverage than the MAC version.

I’m coming to terms with the fact that I just have oily skin. In efforts to alleviate the problem, I’ve searched Holy Youtube for solutions. What I found sounded crazy but supposedly a lot of women with oily skin trust this method. You have foundation primer, and then you have milk of magnesia. Yes, on your face. She also uses a chaffing cream but that is entirely too much for me. So far, the milk (used the same way as in the video) seems to be working. We’ll see in the long run. As well as with the products listed above.
