The highlight of my weekend was being able to witness the nuptials of two of my friends. But, not without some pre-wedding drama. If you were in Atlanta this weekend, you experienced the monsoon winds and incessant rain. I was already running a little late to the wedding. My GPS noted that I was only five miles away from my destination. But not before I got into a fender bender with a white Mercedes-Benz. At that point, I was absolutely ready to burst in tears. Just two months ago on a rainy night, someone hit me from behind. And now, on a rainy day, I hit someone from behind. Just my luck.
My mood was completely ruined. I texted one of my friends letting her know what happened and that I would not attend the wedding. Long story short, after exchanging insurance information and shooing off the officer, I was able to attend the wedding. I’m so glad I did!
What better way to recap the previous weekend than to celebrate the approaching weekend! #LatePass
A few of my good friends and I went to see Anthony David and the band Gritz & Jelly Butter perform at Indigo Bar. And the band is just as cool as their name.
Ended the night at Cafe Circa with the ladies.
Helped a friend coordinate a wedding. Look, wedding planning is no joke. I wasn’t even involved in the process, just the day of stuff but geez louise. I had to have a few drinks. But great night. Congrats to Dany and Tiffani!
Sundays were definitely made for relaxation and friends. My friend Walter hosts these Sunday dinners at his spot. A bunch of friends come together, eat, fellowship, dance. In this case, support a charity. Fun times.

Cheers to the freakin weekend, baby!
I am exactly two weeks away from my ten-day trip to Africa. Lagos, Nigeria to be exact.
I. AM. SO. EXCITED.
It’s been a long time coming but this is for a super special occasion. My best friend Bekky is getting married!!! *body rolls*
I’m TOO happy for her. She is a great gal and an even greater friend. I cannot wait to celebrate with her and Deji on this new chapter in their lives.

I’m not sure how the word for my friend’s fourth of July wedding became Swag but I mean everybody used it. After a somewhat chaotic weekend (bridal shower, bachelorette and wedding all in one weekend), the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Although weddings may not be for everyone, I’m glad it turned out to be everything that Nadine and Eddy could ever imagine. Cheers to the new couple.
