Lauren Conrad’s Spring 2013 Lookbooks

If you didn’t know, Lauren Conrad is not just a hit reality TV sensation. She has made quite a name for herself as a fashion designer (LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown), author and beauty blogger. I have the biggest crush on this girl and her work ethic!

The LC Lauren Conrad line is sold in Kohl’s stores throughout the U.S. I’m loving the delicate look of this line. The subtle colors, shear and girly material all scream Spring time.

I definitely love the Paper Crown line more than the Kohl’s one. It’s more mature and my style. There’s lots and lots of blush, navy and prints.

Although I think each fashion line is geared to different women, I love that I can still see Lauren’s personal style within both of them. LC definitely knows how to stay in her lane. She continuously produces simple, yet great items.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Archel’s trunk show

It was my pleasure to support a friend and Liberian designer, Archel Bernard again, at her trunk show over the weekend. I bought and wore a beautiful print dress called The Vivian. Love love love.

The lovely Miss Archel.

It seems that America has caught the tribal bug and it’s surely in style. Support local business owners like Archel bringing you authentic designs straight from Liberia. Check out her site for more photos from this event.

Pleated dreams

I remember when I was in high school, I had a grey pleated skirt that I wore to church. I got clowned a few times because folks thought I dressed like an old lady. But I really liked the skirt. Now look. Pleated skirts are back “in style.” Stick with what you like folks.

Anywho, I saw this skirt on the Anthropologie website and squealed. Very pretty but out of my price range. Thankfully, two weeks prior, I had purchased a look-alike from Forever 21 in D.C.

P.S. The forward facing camera on the Iphone SUCKS!
