New year’s eve

Rang in the new year with the Lord but I still had to get cute. I’ve been sticking to my $50 a month shopping budget. My shoes were on sale on top of a sale. That makes me happy!

Purple is my favorite color

I wear the heck out of this sweater but I just love the way it compliments my skin tone.

I’ve also been searching for a wrap skirt forever! Using this skirt as an example, I found a cute one.

Cold day but made it to church anyway 🙂

Sweater: Express
Skirt: Forever 21

Too cool for pants

I really hate wearing pants. I’m an easy-breezy kinda girl when it comes to clothes. But the cold front that we’ve been hit with in Atlanta is not allowing me to be great. Perusing one of my favorite blogs the other day, I found a post that confirmed what I already knew: just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you have to wear pants! Thanks to that post on the Eat, Sleep, Wear blog, I’m loading up on tights for the winter time.

Weekend at a glance: burgers & sunday’s best #10

Took a friend out to eat at Yeah! Burger for our first time. I was really excited because I’ve heard so many good things about it annnnd, they are noted as “Atlanta’s organic, gluten-free and eco-friendly burger joint”. If you ever want to sell me on something, mix burgers and organic in the same sentence. So I was all over that.

I had the bison burger and oh my goodness, it was so tender! And have you ever had organic ketchup? I bet you haven’t! Delish!

I will be returning! 🙂

Went to church to hear the Holy Word (shout out to Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church!) and had a little photo shoot in the parking lot afterwards.

Hey! It’s my favorite church goer and friend, Tiffany! Hi Tiff! Love your sweater!

  1. Clutch (Marks & Spencer in London)
  2. Banana Republic dress
  3. My favorite pinks pumps that I have no idea where I got them from! I wear these everywhere!

30 days of truth: day eleven

Day 11 → Something people seem to compliment you the most on.

I would say I get the most compliments on my style.

I really don’t know how to call my style but I just love free-flowly clothing. I love bright and bold color and I’m not afraid to mix and match them. I’m the girl who will wear a teal dress, gold clutch, pink pumps and red lipstick. I’m the girl who will leave the house in a big shirt and tights and pumps….to throw out the trash. I’m the girl who will wear a sarong and Jesus sandals to your BBQ. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense but when I put it together, it works for me.

I’m very Carrie (Sex and the City) mixed with Audrey Hepburn.

Weekend at a Glance: #1

I had a fabulous weekend filled with fun times with my friends. Went to church, my friend Angel’s graduation party and For Sister’s Only. I’ll post all of my friends pics on Facebook. Just posting my outfits from the weekend. I always get questions as to where I shop. I only shop at three places frequently:

  1. Forever 21
  2. H&M
  3. Banana Republic

I never spend a lot of money on clothes. Ever. First thing I do when I enter a store is head for their sales rack. I’d like to get more for my money. But I’m switching it up a bit since I’d like for my clothes to last and to look more like a grown up. Gonna start spending a little more on signature pieces (next weeks blog) and keep it cheap with my accessories. Enjoy!
