What an enlightening year. I didn’t post as much as I should have because this has been such an EMOTIONAL journey for me. And I didn’t want to post too many emo things about my life. But I did jot them down in my phone as the feelings came to me.

At first I thought that 2012 was a loss but I really did accomplish a lot this year. Maybe not professionally (which hurts the most) but definitely personally.

I met: Bill Hallman, Claire Sulmers and Rosetta Thurman.

I saw: Alvin Ailey dance theater, Yuna, Robert Glasper, Chrisette Michele, Bilal, Musiq Soulchild, Angie Stone, Frank Ocean and Diana Krall.

I learned: to knit, to stop fearing small dogs.

I joined: a small group at church.

I had my hair styled FIVE times (more times than I ever have).

I went: to Germany, Nigeria, DC, Miami & Fort Lauderdale.

I lost: WHITNEY!!!!!!

I gained: Blue Ivy!!!!!!

I gained and lost 5lbs, at the same damn time.

I cared deeply for a man.

I had: two photo shoots, one at a cemetery and the other on cinco de mayo.

I threw up for the first time in my life from alcohol ON my 27th birthday.

I went to a horse race.

I sang: for a good cause at karaoke while sick as a dog.

I rock climbed.

I got my second tattoo.

I was listed as one of Atlanta’s top fashion and beauty bloggers.

Although all that I resolved to do this year did not get accomplished, some did. I am grateful for that. And I would list my goals for 2013 but I have things like “getting kissed at midnight on NYE” on there. I don’t need you to judge my life.
