The last day of the 31 day reset challenge encouraged us to pick a theme word and song for 2011.

• My theme word is CHOICE. I want to live and stand by every decision in 2011 as my own. No one forcing me into doing anything I don’t want to or not ready to do. I want to help others realize that life is a choice. Choose to live and choose to make the right decisions for YOURSELF.
• My theme song is “I Choose” by India Arie. Besides India being one of my favorite artists of all time and knowing that her music will never fail me, I never realized the power and relevance of the lyrics of this song to my life. I can’t even begin to explain how it speaks to me. I’ll just highlight the chorus (my mantra) and let it speak for itself.

(And I choose) to be the best that I can be.
(I choose) to be authentic in everything I do.
My past don’t dictate who I am. I choose.

Because you never know where life is gonna take you and you can’t change where you’ve been. But today, I have the opportunity to choose.
